Your brain treats every worry like a fact. Science says otherwise. A University of Cincinnati study followed participants who logged their daily worries over two weeks. The results: → 85% of predicted outcomes never materialized → Of the 15% that did happen, 79% were handled better than expected → The average person carried 29 active worries per day — 25 had no supporting evidence at all Here is a 3-step evidence check you can do right now: 1. Write down your top 3 worries on paper — not in your head 2. Next to each one, write the actual evidence it will happen (not the feeling, the evidence) 3. Score each from 0-10 on probability based only on facts Most people find at least 2 out of 3 score below a 3. The gap between what your brain predicts and what reality delivers is enormous. Worry is not preparation. It is repetition without data. What was the last worry that kept you up but never actually happened? #didnthappen #anxietytips #overthinking #mentalhealth #mindfulness
